Following the previous success of the SCHUNK wedge-bar power chuck, SCHUNK is now transferring the principle of quick jaw changes to CNC lathes with short stroke cylinder. Particularly when it comes to optimizing production processes, the ROTA NCX stands out as an attractive production turbo due to its outstanding price-performance ratio. It minimizes set-up times and increases the machine's productive processing times. Due to the quick-change system, it is not necessary to unscrew the chuck jaws again.
SCHUNK's pneumatic front-end chuck ROTA TB2 and ROTA TB2-LH sets a new standard in the machining of rods and pipes for the oil industry as well as the mining and construction sectors. Despite the compact outer dimensions, for example, they have an extremely large through-bore of up to 560mm.
With air pressure of 6 bar it is already possible to achieve very high clamping forces up to 280 kN, which can easily be adapted to the particular task.
An anti-corrosive coating applied to the most important functional components of the SCHUNK ROTA TB2 and ROTA TB2-LH significantly increases the service life. The base jaw guides are equipped with a special seal to prevent penetration of contamination, dust and swarf, therefore reducing maintenance costs. In addition, an advanced lubrication system ensures constant clamping forces and particularly high process stability. An integrated pressure sensor provides for maximum process reliability and operational safety in daily use.
SCHUNK is expanding the successful TENDO E compact range by adding the SCHUNK CAPTO interfaces C4 and C5 with diameters of 12 mm and 20 mm, as well as C6 with diameters of 12 mm, 20 mm, and 32 mm.
