The process of providing workpieces or components for commissioning is often chaotic. The automated, robot-supported commissioning of these parts is known as bin picking. Where workpieces and components are still picked by hand and transported to machines or assembly locations on carts, service robots will ensure the round-the-clock supply of the right products, flexibly, traceable, and highly efficient. Sensitive, intelligent gripper modules are required for this purpose. The parts to be picked are identified through sensors and image processing modules. The key to success lies in the ability of robots, sensors, components, and control system of working seamlessly together.
